LOS ANGELES, CA (Catholic Online) - Devout Catholic, Mark Wahlberg and his wife, Rhea Durham had posted a special message on to Mark's Instagram page on Palm Sunday, April 5, 2020.
"Happy Palm Sunday, everybody," the movie star shared. "Just thinking about everybody. We still have faith and we have each other, so let's stay strong. God bless you guys. I love you."
This isn't the first occassion where Mark Wahlberg shared some of Catholic sentiments. In an interview with Catholic Herald in 2010, Mark explained, "Being a Catholic is the most important aspect of my life. The first thing I do when I start my day is, I get down on my hands and knees and give thanks to God."
And again in 2016, Mark reiterated how much his faith impacts his life. "My Catholic faith is the anchor that supports everything I do in life. In my daily prayers, I ask for guidance, strength in my vocation as a husband and as a father."
A lot of people are afraid and becoming lonely during the self-isolation and quarantining brought upon us due to the Coronavirus. This is still a time to reflect on the Lord, though, and with him in our hearts, we are never really alone.
Together, through our faith, we are stronger, even if we must remain apart physically.
